Reviews
The food and sides were yummy. The staff wasn’t super friendly but the service was attentive. The rib dumplings, short rib, and brisket were delicious. Also liked the potato noodles, tofu, mashed potato with corn, and broccoli. Atmosphere was nice and quiet for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The food can be a little pricey but it was an expedience as well as a meal and my first time trying this out. I don’t think it’ll be the last!
First of all, I am highly appreciated staff service. It could see that They are all well trained and pay attention to the details to the customer. They keep coming up to check on me and make sure everything is alright in the way that you will not feel uncomfortable. Amazing work!
The food is delicious with intense and rich taste.
Spicy pork bibimbap is nice so do the kimchi pork stew as well.
Uni rice also delicious as well
I personally highly appreciated that the side dish that comes with the lunch set is super delicious especially the beef soup. Staff come to refill the plate when I complete the side dish. Love it!
I’d like to say that
If you want to sit in the cool seating downstairs definitely make a reservation 😜
I didn’t do that so we ended up having to sit in the upstairs bar area. Nonetheless we still sat and ate and we had a party of 6! And we were accommodated within 5 minutes of arriving.
The bathrooms were also clean.
my experience at this restaurant was incredible! The attention to detail by staff is phenomenal. As we drank water and ate the small spreads they put on the tables they kept re-filling as we ate. The waitress was beyond attentive but not overwhelmingly so like you experience at some restaurants. The ambience was nice, cool, calm.
The restaurant is elegantly decorated.
The food was my favorite part it was amazing!! And it was super hot throughout as it was in a hot bowl. I will say that although I had an amazing experience my vegetarian friend did not have much for options as there were only 2 on the menu. Nonetheless she was very satisfied with her food as well would just be nice to see a little more variety or to be able to do substitutions for vegetarian/vegan options to be more inclusive.
Overall I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for their wonderful service and tasty food. My stomach and tastebuds had a blast!
My visit to Yoon Haeundae Galbi last night was an extraordinary culinary journey that transported me to the heart of Haeundae, Busan. The Son of a Peach cocktail was a delightful blend of Vodka, Peach, Korean Yakult, Crown Daisy, and a hint of Absinthe – a unique concoction that perfectly captured the essence of the restaurant's fusion approach.
The Seafood Ricecake Tteokbokki was a true highlight, featuring a medley of flavors with fried vegetables, crab, shrimp, manila clam, baby octopus, rice cake, and a perfectly cooked fried egg. Each bite was a symphony of tastes that showcased the authentic Korean culinary expertise.
Learning about the restaurant's history, especially the Haeundae Cut technique invented by Bobby's grandfather, added a special touch to the experience. The commitment to preserving traditional roots while offering a contemporary NYC recreation is commendable and evident in every aspect of the dining experience.
Yoon Haeundae Galbi is not just a restaurant; it's an invitation to savor the YOON experience, a unique blend of heritage and modernity that makes it a standout gem in the bustling city. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Korea in the heart of New York City.
Can't think of anything bad to say about this place.
All the pros:
* Food and service are great
* Tables have dividers between them so you're not on top of each other
* Small side dishes have free refills
* The server cooks the food for you
* The meat packages (we got the prime package) easily fed three people
I recommend the prime meat package with the brisket for $136. The mochi ice cream was also great at $8 for two pieces.
i ordered their “prime package” which comes with fresh short rib, wagyu boneless short rib, brisket, and dry aged ribeye. certainly not the cheapest kbbq spot, but the meat quality was overall very good. each cut of meat was perfectly marbled with fat (each bite was rich in beef flavor but not too fatty). their sides are all very tasty and so we’re the cocktails we ordered. the prime package was enough to feed two people with medium/moderate appetite. there are other kbbq spots nearby but this is a good one for dates as the ambiance is classier and quieter than other spots.
Really amazing service and great quality KBBQ. The banchan are unlimited and the servers were really great at refilling any time any dish was low. The seafood pancake was so well seasoned. The meat was high quality and our server asked how we wanted it prepared and did it perfectly. It was a great place for a meal and would highly recommend anyone to come!
Overall experience was really good!
If you don't want to wait, you could go up on the second floor and ask for their bar menu.
Price is cheaper than 1st floor barbecue menu, but still can order barbecue. And they cook it for you.
Also the service was really nice! Though the price is a little expensive.
